Bacigalupi Vineyards | 2016 Rose of Zinfandel

Winemaker Notes
2016 was an idyllic harvest. We had much more rainfall here in Sonoma County than we had in the previous vintages, which led to a great growing season and a nice crop. Flavors were still high and crops were higher than last year but not too heavy.

Production Notes
This Rose was made from our ZInfandel harvest.  We hand picked these grapes, brought them into the winery ice cold and destemmed and placed them into a tank.  After 24 hours, a saignée was done to concentrate the flavors in our ZInfandel and to capture juice for our Rose.  This Rose was then fermented for 3 weeks until dryness and then kept in a stainless steel tank until bottling.

Tasting Notes
Fresh red plum, hints of juicy yellow nectarine and a touch of orange blossom on the nose.Fruity and round and lush on the front and mid-palate, juicy nectarine on the front palate. Delicate acidity makes it balanced and delicious.
